Complete Interview Prep Package
About this package

This is a bundle deal of my most popular interview practice sessions:

  • 1 x one-hour resume review, $75
  • 2 x one-hour algorithm practice, $75 each ($150 total)
  • 1 x one-hour infrastructure system design, $75
  • 1 x one-hour api/software system design, $75

For the resume review session, message me on the platform to send over a link to where you manage your resume content such as Google Drive. I'll reply with instructions on how to provide edit access so we can make changes together during the session.

For the algorithm and system design sessions, I recommend setting those a few days apart from each other so you have time to practice and implement any feedback.

Tech Resume Review1h

I've reviewed over 15,000 resumes in my career. Let me tell you what works, what doesn't work, how to arrange sections of your resume, and how to stand out as a candidate!

Whether you're still a student, a new graduate, or been in the industry a long time, your resume says a lot about your qualifications for a job. Preparing a SPECIFIC resume for a job will make you stand out as a candidate. If you don't stand out, you're not getting an interview.

In this session I'll show some preparation you can to help you build a customized resume for any job in less than 5 minutes.

I've been a hiring manager, and I've coached thousands of people to get jobs at tech companies around the world. I have a lot of input to provide on American resume formats, as well as some thoughts on European/African CV formats. I routinely stay in contact with recruiter friends and HR colleagues around the world to stay up to date on what companies REALLY want to see on your resume/CV.

Have a PDF resume ready to go for our session, or be willing to share a link online where I can access your resume, along with one or two job posts for which you're applying, and I'll give you my thoughts/impressions to help you out on formatting and layout, and how to work on the best way to present your knowledge.

One-hour DSA mock interview, with a FAANG-level question

Whether you're still a student, a bootcamp graduate, or if you've been in the industry a long time, there is a "demonstration" portion of interviews that should be practiced -- the live-code technical challenge. I'll work with you through a problem using one of the top "patterns" of problems you'll face in a modern technical challenge. I've conducted over 1,700 of these mock interview challenges on interviewing.io over the past 5 years.

Every good technical challenge has many solutions, and the problems I give are custom-written by me, or actual problems I've been given by FAANG interviewers. I've conducted over 2,000 mock interviews over the past 7 years for backend AND frontend/mobile developers. I've been a lead technical interviewer since 2007, an industry programmer since 1996, and I've been a software educator since 2014. I can switch from "interviewer" to "coach" if you need more mentoring. Send me a message ahead of time on the platform if you'd like more of a "coaching" session.

In this session, we'll spend a few minutes on introductions, I'll find an appropriate challenge for you based on your goals, we'll spend about 45 minutes on code, and a few minutes on verbal feedback. All notes I share verbally are also provided in written form as well.

One-hour system design problem for infrastructure-based system design, such as planning out services, queues, databases, caching, distributed system, and so on.

I'll work with you through one of several unique system design prompts of things I've actually built over my career in the tech industry. The interview will focus a lot on critial thinking, asking the right kinds of requirements gathering, and scaling out a system to handle a large amount of traffic in distributed systems. We might get into optimizations and capacity planning as time allows.

The interview will focus a lot on critical thinking and asking the right kinds of requirements gathering, maybe a bit of database schema design.
